Drill Review – 23 September 2015

What happened:

The Young Marines and their families enjoyed a cookout with their fellow Young Marine families.  A great time was had by all.

The Recruits that actually attended drill took their quiz on the Responsibilities of a US Citizen and Ranks 2.  They moved on to a class on Terms and Jargon 2 and Healthy Living Habits.  They move into their second Saturday session this weekend and are getting ever closer to their graduation on the 14 October.

Drill Review 16 September 2015

What happened:

Survival Training finished up this week with a class on Survival Signals by Mr. Girard and a class on Survival Cooking by Mr. Miller.  This was the final classes the Young Marines have until they get tested by the Survival Encampment this weekend.

Drill Review – 9 September 2015

What happened:

The drill consisted mainly of four classes in a round-robin class style.  Each squad broke out and took on of the four classes in a rotation.  This classes consisted of Packing/Waterproofing Gear, Improvised Tools and Weapons, Survival Shelters, and Knife/Tool Safety.  These gave our Young Marines more skills for their survival/field skills tool belt to better prepare for the upcoming survival encampment.

Drill Review – 2 September 2015 (Let our Operation Begin)

What happened:

The meeting kicked off with numerous awards being awarded.  Sadly, we had no promotion to give.  If you want to get promoted, you need to start working in your guidebooks and getting items signed off!  Ask your NCOs for assistance if you have questions.
