Drill Review – 11 November 2015

We had to drill in the cafeteria instead of our normal location, but that didn’t stop us from learning some Marine Corps history from our Unit Commander.  We also watched the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ Birthday Message to celebrate the birthday of the Marine Corps.  You can watch that Below.

Our SNCOs took their final PFT of the year.  They will be conducting the PFT for our other Young Marines next week.  Please make sure you come ready for it.

Drill Review – 4 November 2015

Our busy schedule continues after Red Ribbon week since we move right into Veteran’s Appreciation Week.  Hope to see everyone at our unit events this weekend for Veteran’s Appreciation Week so they can earn their Veteran’s Appreciation Ribbon this year!  It is a nice ribbon, you can only earn this time each year.

To earn it you need to participate in both this Saturday’s Honor Flight and Sunday’s Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon.

Red Ribbon Week Efforts Award Proclamation from Huber Heights Mayor

On October 26th, 2015 the Miami Valley Young Marines were the recipients of a Proclamation from Tom McMasters, the Mayor of Huber Heights, OH.

The proclamation speaks of the efforts the Young Marines do for the community during Red Ribbon Week which runs from 23-31 October each year.  This year’s efforts were greater than normal with the Young Marines conducting their own after-school anti drug course to the community’s youth.  This course ran each afternoon from 5:00pm to 6:00pm 26-29 October.  Four ...
